Our therapy clinic is located on Scugog Island, a peaceful and beautiful part of Port Perry located in North Durham Region. We respectfully acknowledge that our clinic sits on the territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. We recognize the enduring presence, contributions, and cultures of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and we are committed to providing respectful and inclusive care to all members of our community.
Our clinic is Indigenous-owned and -operated. Jesse Dale, Director and Owner of the practice, is a proud member of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. His heritage, values, and lived experiences deeply shape the culture of our clinic. We are passionate about providing care that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
We are pleased to offer services that are eligible for coverage through the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. NIHB provides free mental health counselling to eligible First Nations and Inuit clients with status under the Indian Act. Eligible clients can currently receive up to 22 free therapy sessions per year.
If you are a status First Nations or Inuit person, you may qualify for free counselling sessions under the NIHB Mental Health Counselling Program. You do not need a referral from a doctor. We can guide you through the simple intake process and answer any questions you may have about your eligibility.
You can read more about NIHB's program here, or contact us for more guidance.
