Feel free to reach us at dawntherapycentre@gmail.com if you have more questions!
Adult clients are welcome to book a session via our online booking link or by contacting us directly (phone or email). We will collect some basic information to ensure your concerns are within Jesse's scope of practice - or you can always book a free 20-minute consultation to ensure Jesse and you are the right fit.
For youth clients:
We have a specific intake process to ensure we can provide the best care:
Parents can start off with a 20 minute consultation to ensure that their child's concerns are within Jesse's scope of practice and that it seems like a good therapeutic fit.
For children under 12, we require beginning with a parent/caregiver intake session without the child present, to better understand their needs. This is followed by a session where both you and your child attend together.
For youth aged 12-17, a parent intake session is highly recommended, although it’s not mandatory. We believe having everyone on board helps create the best environment for your child’s therapy, but we respect your preferences.
In general, we highly recommend parent intake sessions occur without the child/teen present, as this avoids the parents not being able to voice their concerns candidly, and it also avoids the risk of the child/teen feeling negatively about themselves when parents are expressing their challenges.
Private psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP. However, psychotherapy is sometimes covered under extended health benefit plans. Direct billing is not available at this time, but if applicable, you can submit your receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you cannot afford therapy, we can help refer you to community-based mental health supports that are free or based on your income level.
Psychotherapy sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration and Jesse's current rate is $170 per session.
We are happy to accept payments via Interac E-transfers or credit card.
Jesse Dale is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). This means that he has completed extensive training and education in psychotherapy and is fully qualified to provide therapy. Being in supervised practice means Jesse works closely with an experienced, senior psychotherapist who provides guidance and oversight. It’s a normal part of becoming fully licensed, and your privacy and confidentiality are always protected during this process. More details are found in our consent forms.
